It's not a white thing tho, its a upper middle class thing, I got a cousin living in LA who's parents fund her lifestyle, they make good money. meanwhile I'm out here fighting for every dime. But I think in the end, struggle is a good investment, it might hurt now but it'll pay off in the future, because once the money stop rolling in, what is she going to do? Or when the materialism don't make her happy how is she going to cope?

I have three different coworkers 2 females (married) 1 male (single) all white mid 20s to early 30s and there parents do stuff like this

-all there parents pay there cell phones
-one of the girls the parent pay her child care
-other girl her parents pay half her mortgage

Capitalism is a vicious game, that's why u gotta understand it esp if you're black. Money is power, you're suppose to use it as leverage to survive. Its a shield not something u just just give away. I've learned how capitalism work the hard way. Black parents set their kids up for destruction.
