Link some scripture

It's true you want to build your life on guarantees
Hey, take a ride in a big yellow taxi
I'm not here to feed your insecurities
I wanted you to love me
This has become an all too familiar scene
It's not the first time I paid the fare
Where'd you get the idea of material possession?
Thank you for the ride, nowhere

And oh, my meters running, so I've really got to go
It's the pleasure principle, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-hoo
It's the principle of pleasure, oh-oh, ah
It's the pleasure principle oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh, ah-ah

2 Timothy 3

King James Version

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

I like Ecclesiastes too.

Ecc 7:26

26 I found that some women are worse than death and are as dangerous as traps. Their love is like a net, and their arms hold men like chains. A man who pleases God will be saved from them, but a sinner will be caught by them.

Ecc 2:4-11

4 I undertook great projects: I built houses for myself and planted vineyards. 5 I made gardens and parks and planted all kinds of fruit trees in them. 6 I made reservoirs to water groves of flourishing trees. 7 I bought male and female slaves and had other slaves who were born in my house. I also owned more herds and flocks than anyone in Jerusalem before me. 8 I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem[a] as well—the delights of a man’s heart. 9 I became greater by far than anyone in Jerusalem before me. In all this my wisdom stayed with me.

10 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired;
I refused my heart no pleasure.
My heart took delight in all my labor,
and this was the reward for all my toil.
11 Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done
and what I had toiled to achieve,
everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
nothing was gained under the sun.

I fukking despise social media posts with “deep” messages. Stupid fukking shyt people think means anything. fukk this post op. Facebook wisdom infecting the coli. :pacspit:
yeah, its really gaslighting people instead of pointing them in a direction to help them.
Someone who is constantly chasing pleasure is either suffering from a neurological condition (ex. ADHD, CPTSD, GAD, etc.) or trauma.
Shaming them for their behavior does nothing for their development.

Its a truckload of nuggets in Ecclesiastes and Proverbs. Shyt will have your wheels turning.

How to avoid craving pleasure that's the problem.
The solution is read the Bible daily especially the Psalms
It works trust me and yeah I used to think all the Bible was Bs etc etc
i think the point was to get busy with your purpose

It's always some meat heads on your facebook feed who work retail/service positiions that fukked around growing up and now work dead end jobs that post this shyt.

It's hilariously cringe to see some generic ass quote about how you need to be the lion and not the gazelle posted in front of a pic of Leonardo Dicaprio doing coke out of the hooker's ass in Wolf of Wall St :beli:
