NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Nah, definitely not. Maybe a higher % of females in his fanbase specifically but Jay definitely has more female fans total. Like @Piff Perkins said, that's a big reason he's bigger than Nas overall. Women are the biggest consumers of everything.
White fans count for way more than women fans. For instance. No one in their right mind would say Eminem has more female fans than Pac but Eminem has sold far more worldwide than Pac. When u get them white folks is a wrap.

This is definitely one of the prime candidates

I wouldn't even wanna be around a women listening and rapping along to Beanie Siegel  :scust:

There was actually a chick that I knew from SOHH, who used to always quote Beans raps from The Reason all the damn time!

A lot of NYC chicks like hardcore street sh*t though, lol.

I never said Jay didn’t have women fans. U def need women fans to sell records. I’m confused by the theme of the thread cause it’s impossible to be a superstar without female fans. Somebody picked Nas as not having female fans and that’s just cap. Women have always loved Nas and while women love Jay music. They don’t like Jay HIMSELF more than they like Nas. There’s a difference in that. For instance Jay has sold more than LL but NOONE in their right mind would say Jay has more female fans than LL. It’s not only about sales because white folks >>> women when it comes to selling records overall. So I disagree with the notion that just cause Jay has sold more means women love him more. shyt Brandy has sold far more than Aaliyah but Aaliyah has more female fans than Brandy.

But Jay does have more women fans than LL lol. Eminem does too. Just gauging that strictly off hits and sales plus hip hop being more popular at Jay's peak than LL's peak. Just as Drake has more female fans than both of them. It's like saying Trump got more votes than George Washington. Of course, the population grew. That's all it is.

Biggie had a lot of women fans despite not being attractive. Nonstop ladies tracks, club songs, anthems etc. That's the blueprint for selling. Sure white boys buy a lot of records but women buy a shyt ton of albums too. Biggie didn't blow up because white kids started buying that album (initially). He blew up because Juicy dominated NY+MTV and women fukked with it way before white kids locked in.

I agree Nas had women fans. Any rapper that sells a lot of records - as Nas did - has to have women fans. Otherwise you're Big L. Or if you only have one song women love then you end up like AZ or OC. Those are the types of rappers this thread should be about.

I'd say J Cole's fanbase is a good equivalent for Nas' fanbase in his heyday, though Nas probably had more love from the streets too

Nah, Jay has more casual fans, Nas has a more dedicated female fanbase, I’m just talking from experience I’ve never really met women who were big fans of Jay Z.
