In all my years growing up in this city I've never heard of no African Street gangs, they keep mostly to themselves to worry about that shyt. In NYC, they're are too focused on education and networking to worry about fitting in compared to Carribeans.

The line of mine that you quoted said "new African immigrant kids holding weapons to avoid getting victimized" which surely happened when you were coming of age and happens in 2017.

This is the second reply in this thread which states that I wrote that ethnic tensions among Blacks exists in the form of gang warfare . In reality I wrote that the existing tensions play out in k-12, in close living quarters of the hood, on college campuses.etc. I mentioned ethnic tensions AND past street level confrontations which took place among hispanic groups to a hispanic poster to illustrate an example of ethnic tensions existing in the real world.

That poster harped on the street level confrontations I pointed out between pr/dr and called BS on my entire post by saying that Black gangs don't fight it on in the streets.

I then mentioned existing ethnic tensions AND past street level confrontations among African groups in current Caribbean enclaves in BK and MIA. ..but my original point stands.....the tensions play themselves out EVERY single day in real life situations ....and form the basis for mistrust between the groups of Blacks.
Interesting what people notice and what they ignore.

This "beef" between AAs and Caribbean people is nonexistent in the real world and is only pushed by a few miserable souls on the Coli

Several of my friends & acquaintances are AA and we don't distinguish each other, we're all black men in America. Multiple people in my family, men and women, are married to AAs. My girlfriend is half WI & AA herself (Bahamian father, AA mother) This beef is completely contrived and falsified

I agree, Caribbeans and AAs fukk with each other too heavy to actually beef offline.

In fact for the most part offline, AAs & Caribbean nikkas never ever beef and are virtually so tight-knit socially that everyone's origins are barely even brought up when we intermingle daily (unless there is a lighthearted discussion about food or our family background.)

I think it's due to the fact, AAs & Caribbeans date, marry, associate and befriend each other at a much higher rate than AAs do with any other black group.

We've only ever had beef with our immediate neighbours just like all other nationalities. And even then it's business never personal

American Somalis generally have no beef with AA's.
