Everywhere...You never there.
Damn that shyt didnt happen for me. Then just kept my me locked up. Until i could go see the judge. But i never had any bond money too.

First offense on a charge for an unregistered handgun with no bodies, no unlawful bullets and/or enhancements and legit, traceable origins should never have you held without bond.

Something else you ain't tellin' us?

You're a young man. Time to start acting like one.

Best to you and ya mans, tho.

Get your lawyer to negotiate with the State on a plea bargin where you can plead guilty to lesser charge (misdemeanor). Even if they make you do some time it's better than having a felony in the long run.

I feel @Bay Area on OP going to college, while it might not be the end all solution to Op's problem, it could be the start in changing his mindset from a gun carrying goon to a respectable member of society, even if he doesn't finish, at least he can see what other possibilities that are out there. A felony in this job market is killer when folks with degrees are struggling to find work.

My *ahem* friend got hemmed up in Maryland on the same charges on a couple occasions. Hired a lawyer and beat the case both times. But my *ahem* friend was wise enough to make it crystal clear to the arresting officers that he doesn't consent to a search of his person, property or vehicle, then fully evoked his 5th ammendment rights and said nothing further. I would hire a lawyer and fight it. Hopefully you didn't say nothing stupid to the officers (as far as admitting guilt) or was caught on dash cam or recorder copping to the burner or giving them consent to search your shyt. But the outcome depends on the particulars of the case. But even if you're found guilty. It's just a misdemeanor, and you said it's your 1st offense, so a guilty verdict will probably result in a suspended sentence, probation and a fine/community service.

:bryan: College does not change peoples mindset about carrying a gun or being a goon. You must be a liberal that thinks taking away welfare will make people with kids on it get jobs too .

the streets
you fukked up letting him search the car. Im pretty sure if you say something like "i don't consent to this search" or something like that the cop can't do shyt unless he has a lot of evidence of suspicion or some shyt

He smelled weed. That is probable cause to search the car. If I'm not mistaken.

This. shyt honestly even if they don't have a reason to search, they can just make one up on the police report anyway.

Basically and most idiots are too stupid to get a good lawyer to look into these things and will eat the charge. Whatever. That's why I stay out the streets these days. Too easy to get caught up.
