you do realize the ps3 was the better SYSTEM as well right? you do realize you could barely tell on certain games right? so for the most part if you polled 100 people. 80% of them would say they had the identical same experience on the ps3 as they had on the 360 assuming they played the same game on both systems.
but what the xbox1 is doing with their online gaming(300k servers) and the cloud. those two things alone will tremendously help gaming.
let me give u a little geek boy talk.
the ps4 is superior to the xbox 1. that goes without saying and anyone saying otherwise is a liar. now we're talking TECH SPECS only.
but with that said. the ps4 isnt 3 times better then the 360. its not even 2 times better. its percentages better from a bare TECH spec.
but again that wont show up in game or game play or graphics to the point where you will go
what the xbox1 has done with the 300k servers and the cloud computing. is they are getting rid of the bottlekneck effect.
be honest do you think PSN is on par with xbox live? NO
do you think the new psn is on par with 300k servers + cloud computing? HELLZ NO.
guess what direction gaming is going in? multiplayer online gaming.
guess what xbox just made a lot better? multiplayer online gaming.
the great graphics that these companies made for the game that gets degraded due to a lack of server strength will not be the problem that it was with the 360. or the problem that it will most likely be with the ps4. because of the 300k servers + cloud computing.
what im telling you is something computer geeks know when building a pc or upgrading a pc. there is a couple of ways to increase performance of your PC.
if you dont like that it takes to long for your website to come up, what do you do?
some people will get an entirely new computer. that will help. More ram, faster harddrive, faster motherboard for the ram and the harddrive. you will see a difference.
but what would significantly increase the speed in which the websites come up? if someone was fixed on the server side and some pressure was taking off of my pc at home. thats exactly what MS is doing.
There's no reason to get a 8 core processor when you ave 512 mb of ram. the ram will be the bottle kneck.
there's no reason to get 8 core processor 8 gigs of ram super fast hard drive, but you dont have the serve capacity to deal with the new LARGER games that you can now develop for the console. the better the console, the larger the games will be from a file prospective, the more computations have to be done. sure the console can do it when you play at home by yourself or with a friend in the same room. but the moment you go online. with your same internet connect you had last year. not bad, but not great. you have more data being transferred thru the same connection. guess whats going to happen? its going to slow down.
its like watching a 1080p movie in 3D stutter the entire time. what difference does it make thats it looks great if it stutters the entire time?
when you could be playing a 720p game in 3D with zero stutter.
dont get caught up in the tech specs until you weight how it will effect YOUR gaming experience in every condition. console only, then online. if you dont play online. GET THAT ps4. but if you play online heavy? GET that box.
Also...let me drop this off for you smart guy...since you think you know how powerful this "cloud computing" is going to be.
"What's obvious at this point is that the concept of cloud computing looks uncertain and unlikely, and Microsoft needs to prove its claims with actual software. Yet based on what we've been told, the firm itself isn't sure of what uses to put it to, while the limitations of latency and bandwidth severely impede the benefits of all that computing power. Frequent references to Live and multiplayer gaming suggest a less exciting, though certainly valuable, use for Microsoft's new servers in providing better, conventional, multiplayer experiences. More players, adaptive achievements and intelligent worlds all sound great in theory, but we're certainly not seeing the notional results of a four-fold increase in Xbox One's processing power."

Then it goes into why the person should of went to a reporter. Yeah, I'm sure anybody would put there career in jeopardy so a more credible source can get the story. I can't prove that its real, but your link didn't prove that it wasn't either
