I know that not to be true because every older black man I know have said something to the extent that when payday comes, they give their whole checks over to their wives to pay bills, get groceries, get stuff for the kids, and manage whatever is left. I wouldn’t be surprised if that habit has been passed down in some way or the other.

At the moment, my girlfriend salary is more than mine (she’s a radiologist) but my annual income is more (I manage an investment portfolio and have real estate). We maintain our own condos so we’re essentially paying our own stuff although I’ll stay with her for a month and she will stay with me the other. I typically pay for things when we go out for entertainment or on trips. She’ll typically pay for groceries.

If you are, which is what I initially assumed, and why I responded the way I did, well then my response makes perfect sense in the context and actually proves that black women “collect” just as much as white women on the back end, so the idea of not splitting bills while in a relationship with black women because you’ll be saving on the back end is not grounded in actual reality and facts.

Black people have a unique history apart from white people in this country in that we were actual factual picking up cotton slaves for no compensation with an inability to build wealth.

If you can't recognize these numbers were cooked then you need not post them..

1st of all black women don't get married at a high rate in the black community.. So those that do are very few..

So if you have a low amount of black women getting married, in a group thats already low in numbers, the divorce rate will look bad.

Also, why did this study lump white women with hispanic women? White women stats can't stand on their own? Any other time its "black and brown", but for this study its cool for it to be white and brown?

They didn’t lump white women with Hispanic women. It’s says “16.3% and 18.1%, respectively”. Meaning 16.3% for white women and 18.1% for Hispanic women.

Also, all of those rates that were given were per 1000 women of said race. Please explain how that’s “cooked”.
