The world is changing

Arguably, the people behind these things are changing the world - into something they want to see.

I have met and worked with these do-gooders here in DC. I guess their hearts are in the right places....

They want to (The UN and NGOs)
  • More mental health services
  • More women in education
  • More people living in cities (and not doing subsistence agriculture)

Why shouldn't Dakar look like Dallas? :russ:

But

Why should Dakar look like Dallas? :jbhmm:

These same people are also behind the IMF and The World Bank.

They were not helping to build physical infrastructure - not like China - and all we hear overhere is that it's a debt trap....

They certainly were not helping with controlling natural resources or industrialization.

At least the Soviets tried - Ajaokuta Steel Mill - Wikipedia

This is after the West and related parties have undermined and continue to undermine regular Africans from determining their own politics.

This is in light of how many African elites send their children to Europe for "education".

In my view, after the mind viruses of Christianity and Islam have already done a number to the continent - this is the next wave of mental colonization.
They succeeded with "democracy" and "capitalism", along with materialism.

Now bring in Atheism and Pop Psychology (and a big dose of 3rd and 4th wave feminism)

Not for nothing, but when Uganda decided to ban gays (Which I do not support, don't ban people from being who they are)

They started to talk about sanctions.

Do they sanction Saudi for far worse?

Absolutely not.

So I say this situation looks benign (but not Benin), and possibly positive...

But I'm conditioned in the West - I can't really see a down side to getting men to talk about how to deal with their wives and family in a constructive way - yet I'm still wary.

I see how "Oprah" language, therapy talking points have infected The West - and rather than those words being tools for communication and understanding - they tend to be weaponized against men.

Nah, not more indoctrination.

Men just need to stand up and be men.
They already know what's right.

This is just more manipulation through the IMF and World Bank pushed on Africa to make them subservient to the White Supremacy agenda.

Ask who is paying for this....

Take control of the resources and build.
I was with it till they said there was UN involvement.

I did a church program where I got to tour a lot of countries in East Africa and a few Southern ones too. This is already part of the culture there. It’s supposed to be when a woman gets married the elder men in the family vet that man a formal sit down with just the ma and the elders, they ask him questions and also give him advice. These elders also act a meditators when people in their marriages have trouble and how to resolve them.

If this was just a way to modernize or streamline that process with no outside influences, I’d say it was a good thing, but like I said in my other comment, the UN involvement makes it shady. It’s not like something like this requires a lot of resources, they meet at the counselors house or a local church or mosque and can do the counseling there.
