But to answer your question proper op. "How did we get here?"
Well I'm no expert. But working backwards from the present.
1. Black folks are disproportionately below the poverty line in the U.S. (This is usually the part where "pull yourself by your bootstraps types cut you off before letting you expound) Black folks are mostly concentrated near each other in the U.S.
2. Poor people of all races are more likely to turn to violent crime and street gangs. Since we established Black Americans are more likely to be poor and also usually live within close proximity of other Black people...this means Black on Black crime is going to be higher compared to other races...seeing as they are fortunate enough to be less likely to be put in those situations.
Why are Black people more likely to be poorer than other groups?
3. American Slavery, Jim Crow, systemic as well as institutional racism against Black people since the conception of this country have gave other groups a significant headstart and other advantages that Black are less likely to have.
"But Im Black and White Supremacy never stopped me!" Well some Jews escaped the Holocaust what's your point?
But why do Black folks seem crueler and more callous to other Black people?
Well as we previously established Black people are more likely to be underprivileged as well as more likely to live near other underprivileged Black people. This creates a violent, self sustaining loop of Blacks targeting other Blacks thus creating bad blood in our communities. After all, poorer people are more likely to engage in street crime.
And since, like I previously mentioned, Black people are still negatively affected by Americas prejudiced past and present...it makes it harder to escape. And unfortunately became apart of our culture to many of us.
With all that said, what's the solution(s)?
Well some suggestions by me are:
1. Become more involved politically. Both as voters and candidates. Work towards creating political literacy.
2. Increase financial and business literacy. Focusing on politics won't matter unless we have money to throw around. We also need to make progress towards creating generational wealth.
3. Stop putting Blacks who are proud criminals and/or proudly ignorant on a pedestal. Stop associating Black masculinity with criminality and senseless violence. And stop rewarding them with clout. Be role models to young Black people so they can see you can be respected without the extra shyt.
4. "Each one teach one" simply pass off any game you may have to any Black person willing to listen. Not getting discouraged when you run into ones who won't.
5. Definitely not going online spreading negativity insinuating that Black folks are a lost cause. (c00ning)
Basic list but like i said I'm no expert. @Jesus Bhrist
your solutions are garbage and they don’t solve crime.
As many in here have said there’s a small number of black people doing violence and it’s not because of lack of opportunity or desperation
Our country has an illegal gun problem and poof black communities are most affected by it. We have to fix how many unmarked and in registered guns are in people hand
Back to my original point. Criminals are getting slapped on the wrist for a few reasons and Covid has made it much worse
The reason crime started going down in the 90s is because of automatic weapons being bad and the killers getting serious time
the killers are home now

Breh, are you saying good black folk in the hood are the outliers??? No the fukk they arent. Most people in the hood are good-great people. Where were you raised??
