I'm not rich, but in absolute dollars, I pay so much more in taxes than average income earners that it's not even funny. And last time I checked, I'm taxed at a higher percentage than those that earn less also.

If people are upset that higher earners learn strategies and loopholes to minimize their tax burden, you're probably better off being upset with yourself for not getting to that point and learning the same strategies...

No they aren't. It's simple mathematics. If you make more than enough, a regressive tax won't hurt you as much as someone on the lower end of the earnings tree. Guess what? People already know what they can and can't afford with a fukked up tax code as is. But what you want is to increase income inequality and worsening financial hardship. Logical point but you missed one thing. We been here before. Something will happen and people get distracted. There are people in rural areas that haven't seen economic development in their area for decades. But they forget about that when talking about the 2nd amendment gets popular again.
