A single McDonald’s hash brown is now 3.09? We use to be a proper country.

Go to ALDIs and get a 20 pack for 6 dollars

Go buy a 2lb/3lb of ground beef and make u a bunch of hamburgers

Simple solutions
French fries are my issue. Store-bought french fries are absolutely disgusting

It’s crazy. McDonald’s doesn’t understand its own business model. The only reason it became as big as it is because of its value proposition.
I think I remember studying their business model in college. To the best of my memory, they got big because of their real estate holdings; not because of their food. The food was only an attraction in their first decade of existence.

After the McDonald's brothers were bought out, a lot of the restaurants were set up in high density and high value areas in the middle of big cities. And the McDonald's corp was buying into these places during the white flight years , so after gentrification their real estate portfolio became impressive. And in many cases the restaurant franchisees are renting the pricey land which the McDonald's is standing on from corporate in addition to franchise fees.

And to make it more diabolical, they also control the supply chain so regardless of whether each restaurant is profitable or not profitable ; the corporation is still banking from cornering the market on meat, onions, tomatoes, condiments, etc and upcharging the individual owners.

That line still be long as shyt, so guess it's worth it to people. :manny:
its funny because that $3 hash brown is about half-to-one medium russet potato

accounting for water weight loss when frying, a large mcdonalds fry is about 152 grams

guess how much a medium sized russet potato weighs?

about 212 grams

in my area a large fry is $4 and some change

you can get 10 pounds of potatoes for $5 (EDIT: wholesale.. especially for mcdonalds must be retardedly cheap)

i understand wanting to make a profit but this is like fourth circle of hell kind of greed. even drug dealers dont cut like that

People are lazy and willing to pay for what they conceive as convenience.
