On the real a lot of these black writers and directors are fronts. White folks writing the scripts or telling what needs to be shown. So they put a black face on it so it is easier to swallow or so there won't be any backlash.
We see it with these same blace websites that are white owned, but have black writers (the root). Or with black networks that are actually white owned.
Its all a hustle.
The most troubling situation is for years we couldn't get controversial historical movies concerning black folks made. Once hollywood found out it made money they b*stardized the concept. Now they take historical movies and flip the story inside out with tons of modern day agendas. Sort of like how they flipped conscious rap and social rap into a b*stardized version of mindless rap today.
I blame old cac TV producers taking advantage of confused young bloods who aint grow up with no fathers in an effort to destroy the strong black male image

Black folks were a whole lot more prideful in the 90s, 80s, 70s and etc. They would have boycotted this shyt and called it now.
Now a days black folks will consume any dumb shows no matter the stereotypes as long as a black person is in it.
