Yourselves a favor and stop watching SO MUCH Tv.

Most television shows are filled with antiblackness. I know its hard but try to do something else that's more constructive than watching TV.
I don’t watch tv at all and I’m sure most of us won’t check this at all. I have only seen this trailer and nothing more. It’s just a discussion On the dehumanization of the black male. Hence the Tommy Curry reference. It emphasizes the importance of teaching your kids history and what they will be faced with is regards to historical manipulation and alternatives concerning black history. As stated above

Theres no need to get into an uproar about the characterization of fictional black men...

the media and America do a fine job dehumanizing actual black men.

If you don’t want to watch it, don’t. I won’t :yeshrug: but if we are going to start an uproar we need to spend that energy on any of the active cases where black people are losing their lives and not getting fair trials :wow:

I don’t think we need to protest cause a uproar or whatever. If white people watch it then let them watch it. But I feel sadly there are a lot of black people who watch these things who don’t know the actual stories and will fall into not seeing through to what it really is. It’s the same as the Madame C.J. Walker thing on Netflix. Being aware makes you vigilant. Every discussion is not about boycotting or obsession. Simple awareness so you don’t fall into the trap. An exchange of information simply

Yup listen to at least one show A week. So I And am not shocked or surprised by white people. I know their nature. Nothing new. But ever since watching the C.O.W.S and Tommy Curry I have been paying more attention to this subject matter a little more in regards to black male fetishism because I have a son in school and have noticed certain comments made by white female teachers in regards to him looking older than what he is (4 years old)... him being so handsome or other not appropriate comments.

Personally there are more important things besides entertainment when I don’t even watch tv. I only read..But I live in Atlanta and know that these young black kids getting more and more feminine in how they dress act and talk, and know that is mostly derived from tv shows and entertainment. I have kids. So I have to keep a eye out for this shyt so if they ever came across it... I can immediately shut it down and protect their minds. So it’s like when it’s just you, you can move on from all this shyt. But when you have kids surrounded by white folks you have to make sure nothing slips past you
