just cause the moment you mention sacrifice, or ritual, or ancestor work a lotta people get scary and try to convince you its "devil worship"

its offensive and impossible to have discussions on african spirituality with most abrahamic folks cause they conflict (although they really dont i.e. jesus was a sacrifice). it becomes a debate with "non believers" rather than a discussion. I'm more interested in discussing the different spiritual systems from a cultural standpoint.

i think some of y'all are not thinking broadly enough about what all could be discussed in a religion and spirituality subforum

yoga meditation
astrology
uses of sage and incense

all could be covered on top of the wide variety of religions in the world, it could be great if enough people participated



of course not but it can be properly moderated to avoid discussion derailing into disrespectful territory just like any other subforum on here

and right now it's mostly news, politics, world events, science and education a break-off for religion and spirituality makes a lot of sense

The version of HL had those types of threads and more. Why not post those threads if you want to talk about those subjects?

Coli is an aggressive forum, and threads will quickly derail. Most posts will crystallise to whether god exists or not. They'll end up increasing posts that I'm guessing the owners don't want e.g. faq War, cac supremacy, etc etc.
