There are no major military bases in New York though, people would probably navigate to places where they will look for the most sensible aspect of survival. North Carolina would honestly be more sensible then NY just because of Fort Brag. I think you would head for NY but there is just no sensible reason to automatically assume people would.

You also have to take into account that once people are dead those left would essentially have the world to themselves. I would think most people would just live in the lap of luxury until they die.

I can't be the only one who watches this show....
