At one point in time there were 75,000 humans on earth, you'd find someone if you want to 
Let's say I know enough to know I'm the only person that lived out of my group of 1000 people.
And that there's basically one of every 1000 people left.
This would have to have happened over night or sumn. And yes everyone in every house surrounding you is dead. The survivors would have to be spread out pretty evenly.
Okay. So.
Hop in the whip and drive to the closest gas station and see if I can fill up. If I can find some gas cans.
Then go directly to the store that I know sells bullets for the pistol I own. Taking the pistol with me of course. Break in at all costs and take all the 9mm bullets.
Then roll directly back to the crib and start zombie proofing the windows and chimney and shyt. The zombies are the other survivors of course.
Lock down the crib completely then start foraging. Refrigerators will be useless more or less after a few days for finding food but there is so much stuff in all those empty houses. Cans and boxes of stuff. Gorge on all the stuff in the freezer that I want for like a day and a half then get to boiling noodles and shyt after that.
Your whole job for a whIle could be sacking houses all day.
I think I would wait quite a while before starting to interact with others. Certainly on day 1 I would flee from and draw down on anyone that came within my cypher (meaning: close enough for me to detect them). Just cause in the state of nature you gotta be on some wildlife shyt. Try to walk up on a rabbit or a badger. Or a squirrel or goose. They run and if you get too close they strike. You have to be like that until you figure out who's who.
I'd be standoffish for a while.
I'm wondering how many empty houses would be left if the closest 1000 people just dropped dead. Like 400 houses. 40 square blocks? But that's only 3, 4 blocks in each direction from your crib.
So other nikkas are pretty close. If you live in a big city you will have people on the next block over. Seems like some buildings could hold 1000 people.
Damn. And all I have is one 9mm. I guess I might find guns as I rummage.
Look for a damn female. I don't know how rapping to a chick goes in a world like this but 'I have a reinforced crib and all the 9mm bullets' would be a good start.
