I think I get your point...but who ever even brought that up tho?...and agents get fired all the time (Jennings just fired his).
It's all subjective, some talk about loyalty while others (especially players) say "it's a business", and the same fan will switch up depending on who' he's talking about...I remember the Decision, I was talking about loyalty and others were saying "he's a free man" (Someone even said "he's not a slave" or something like that smh). TBH I wish there was more loyalty in sports, but that's just not the case and we all know that, so why be surprised when Lin isn't "loyal".No one ever said he was. And it's not like he was a serious project for the Knicks either tho, he just played because off the bs situation we were in. Started with short-term contract, and we didn't extend his contract asap (ol' "Let the market decide" crap). Anyway, without the injuries and the desperation, Lin doens't enter the rotation at all.
Both parts are "to blame" for him leaving IMO, but all that I care about NOW (I admit being in the anti-Felton group) is that the Knicks are winning.
I dont think we're far off...I agree with much of what you said, but thats not the argument I was trying to present tho.
The media, since Linsanity began has been positioning lin as morally superior to that of other NBA players --- all Im saying is that his behavior doesnt reflect that, and is in line with all the other black players whom are labeled selfish, low IQ thugs, only out for themselves and their wallets.
As far as the Knicks/Lin go, specifically. I was a lil upset that the Knicks let him go, but the fact of the matter is that re-signing Lin would have had significant consequences on our cap (the last year was a poison pill, where penalties would have made his salary about 20 mill), for what looks like an average player. Felton is the better player, straight up, at half the cost.
Instead of Lin fans being honest that he was overhyped and maybe the fans and media went too far, they're still in denial and blaming Melo, Woody, and everyone else they can for his struggles post-linsanity. Im so glad hes not on the knicks anymore, so we wouldnt have to be hit with the daily barrage of "poor widdle Win who is being hated on by that meanie black Melo" stories and narrative.

at Knicks fans shytting on Lin like he still aint better than Fat ass Felton
Lin can't bring the ball up on the heat. check their stats
and how's jr looking ? You couldn't be more white if you tried
Teams will trade, release, buyout a player when it suits them and he cashed in on the once in a million opportunity he got in life.Who wouldn't do what lin did? Also didn't lin help the knicks get the cable deal for msg network on time warner cuz the demand to watch the knicks was ridiculous during this run while they were negotiating the cable deal or somethin like that?
the racist fans berating melo after he had attempted to will us to victory vs the celtics
then Lin not playing in the playoffs so that he wouldn't get embarrassed and hurt his contract status after saying he was 85%

it's funny how people still call for melo to have waited for the the offseason to go to ny and possibly lose money but for Lin it's make as much as you can
with melo commentary . I wonder how Alan Hahn and Wally would sound on the air
