What female artist in history has ever made music marketed to straight men:dwillhuh: we can like their songs, but it’s not made for us

The idea that you even asked this shows how bad the game has gotten.

They ALL used to make songs to straight men...even if they didn’t mean it.

Weird metric.

Run the World is a big song. Is it a quality song? Why would it be considered a classic other than the fact that a lot of Beyonce fans like her music?

Which is why Lemonade is her magnum opus. It had hits, but overall it was an actual body of work.

And now that I think of it, of course you can make disposable music at any level of success. That's pop at it's most banal. Watered down crap that appeals to a lot of people.
Name some artists who do stadium tours 20+ years into the game who aren’t legends who made timeless music? Here’s a list of some stadium tour artists:

Michael Jackson
U2
Rolling Stones
Madonna
Metallica
Guns N Roses

All legends, and that’s my point. If you’re doing THAT decades into your career, your music is timeless. I’m not saying this is the only barometer for being timeless or a legend. But you cannot say an artist is disposable if they’re on the list above. Period end of story.

To make my point, I went to my bookshelf and got my Billboard chart reference book
and opened it at random...it was at 1998. Of the Top 100 Billboard singles, 24 are female
artists songs with favorable POV toward a male - 8 of them in the Top 20. And really, that’s about
the time when it started falling off.

The flaw in this point is...while yes - these are artists that made timeless music,
when fans go see them on their stadium tour they wanna hear the timeless stuff.
All of their material isn’t “timeless” or “classic”.

Ain’t nobody going to hear Metalica’s new chit. Hell, most of them ain’t trying to hear anything
that came after “The Memory Remains”. Guns & Roses can still tour after 20+ years because
they’ve only had one album after 20 years. If Madonna starts to sing anything newer than
“Ray Of Light” (that isn’t “Music”), everybody going to the bathroom until she come back with
some heat.

No they didn’t. They may have made songs regarding relationships and love but it was always in ways women could relate to and see themselves in that situation.

Please post examples of female artists making songs solely or mainly for male consumption :jbhmm:

Artists that do stadium tours don't make disposable music. It's perhaps the most clear cut barometer of success on a major level. Just a casual glance at her set list reveals she does many songs that are over ten years old, so the question becomes: disposable how? This is such a weird position to take. If you don't like Beyonce just say it. Hell, I don't like Beyonce lol! I like some songs however overall she's not my wave. But I know how to read a room, and I know a hit when I hear one.

Crazy In Love came out in 2003. Single Ladies came out in 2008. Run The World came out in 2011. Those songs still resonate so again...where is the disposable part of this.
Bey been too big for too long to label her music disposable. At some point some of you dudes are gonna have to accept that A LOT of people consider her music amazing:yeshrug:
Sia, Neyo, Dream, Ezra, Rich, Justin, Pharrell, her team are excellent writers and hit makers.

Pop fans/R&B fans split on which is her best album.

Can’t wait to see a hits show but other than selects not my thing and I wouldn’t put her with Mariah or Toni or Mary. This era she’s miles ahead of her peers.

This Aaliyah resurgence is random.
Uh no

and Aaliyah was like a tier 2 artist if we are being nice. Not saying she was Lumidee status but she was just okay and rode the hell out of the tracks her producers gave her. She would’ve struggled without Robert, Melissa and Timothy (and Static)
Yall forget Beyonce basically boxed out any real competition until Rihanna came and even then its only in the last like 3-4 years has female R&B made a strong resurgence when Beyonce is out of the picture.

She kinda stifled the evolution of the genre and prevented any real critique of her from gaining ground out of industry fear to burst that bubble, no matter how legitimate the critiques were.

She has songs for sure, but the way her team crushed so many careers and put this status on her to the point where you can't even say anything bad about her, doesn't help her in the end.

Beyonce doesn't have one song that everybody fukks with that wasn't with her group or a famous guest artist like Jay or Wayne

Forget Aaliyah Beyonce not even fukking with Amerie no Beyonce song resonated with people like this did fukk sales

Knowing how to play the industry game don't make you better than anybody

Most overrated artist since Elvis

I mean are we including men..because I thought everyone was fukking with Single Ladies...

Now that you mention it..yea B is more for women...not like a Rihanna that can create bangers that both sexes can listen to.

The weird hate and lack of respect for Beyoncé Is exactly the same with LeBron James at this point, people just have some dumb reason to shyt on them. Their greatness is undeniable :ehh:
Lebron stans gotta bring the nikka up in everything:mjlol:

This is the exact reason. He gets shyt on online..just to troll his annoying ass fanbase
