The weird hate and lack of respect for Beyoncé Is exactly the same with LeBron James at this point, people just have some dumb reason to shyt on them. Their greatness is undeniable :ehh:
It's so annoying. Beyonce was eclipsing Aaliyah back in the days. Beyonce got even stronger

I like both Aaliyah and Beyonce, so I'm not gonna compare the two, but OP is dumb.

Beyonce does have classics, do many of her songs still getting spinned by women and men :mjlol:

Yall forget Beyonce basically boxed out any real competition until Rihanna came and even then its only in the last like 3-4 years has female R&B made a strong resurgence when Beyonce is out of the picture.

She kinda stifled the evolution of the genre and prevented any real critique of her from gaining ground out of industry fear to burst that bubble, no matter how legitimate the critiques were.

She has songs for sure, but the way her team crushed so many careers and put this status on her to the point where you can't even say anything bad about her, doesn't help her in the end.
This, any artist who purposefully quells their competitors with everything but the music can’t be a goat, especially considering how many sounds she stole. Not sure why people hate on Aubs for doing it but in the same breath unironically praise her as great or a goat.

I can't name one song other than crazy in love from Beyonce!

Op is often wrong but is 100% correct on this!

"Me, Myself, and I", Crazy in love, 7/11, Halo, Irreplaceable, Formation, Love on top, Deja Vu, Party, Get me bodied, Baby Boy, etc.

There is probably more, but I know for a fact those are still getting bumped till this day. Heavy on the "Me, Myself, and I", shyt will always be a classic.:wow:

Wait, is a classic a song that is actual quality, or is just loved by a lot of people?

Because if it's the latter, then yes, almost every Beyonce song is a classic.

That's not what I think of when using the tag though.

My sister was playing that Bey Neflix Cochella concert on a loop when it came out and had to stop because her daughter (my 2 year old niece) was singing and dancing all over the house destroying stuff in the process and even then my niece knew how to find it herself on Netflix:pachaha:
That concert is timeless to most 25-40 year old Black women and it covers Bey's whole career
If you have a dozen songs that a massive fanbase knows every lyric and dance move to, that's a classic song:manny:

I would say Aliyah has a few songs that u can play for decades compared to Beyoncé who in my own opinion doesn’t have a group of songs that u would remember 20/30 years later

This place has irrational hate for Beyoncé and overrates the hell outta Aaliyah and we got both in one OP
:picard:

Beyonce can sing but doesn't have great songs due to a trash era

If you dropped Beyonce off in the 70s, 80s she'd be on par with the greats talent wise

Aaliyah is definitely overrated but would actually fit better in this modern era .. she could do what Rihanna does/did in this era
