Witch hunt? First off, witch hunts are for something that isn't true, not for something that's blatantly true. Second, there were plenty of athletes who weren't vaxxed and the media never made a big deal, the only two who caught any serious heat were Kyrie (because he was in a state that required it so he cost his team games) and Rodgers (because he blatantly lied, then lied about lying). The other unvaxxed athletes barely even cracked a headline.
This is a lie. For alpha variant the vaccine reduced your chances of getting the virus by about 95%. It was somewhat reduced for delta variant, then all the way down to just 40-60% for omicron....but 40-60% is STILL meaningful.

Except how many variants did we end up getting? About 5-6, which is inevitable because it's a mutating virus. So we were ALWAYS going to be behind when it comes to vaccine.
Bron got heat for stating that it's a personal decision to get the vaccine. People on this very site and on TV were saying he was essentially letting down his community, and potentially killing older black Americans, by not going all out and telling people to get it. Kareem wrote an entire article and anytime he was interviewed about LeBron it was brought up for the past few years by him. Rodgers is one of the highest profile athletes in this country, more than Kyrie or Kirk Cousins or whoever, so he was always gonna generate more clicks. But I agree that him lying made it about 100x worse.

Yet despite the variants, the vaccine dramatically reduced both spread and severity of disease. There's a huge correlation between how well-vaccinated each state was and how many cases and deaths they had post-vaccination drives.
Yet it didn't change his stature or how people viewed him at all. It's a tiny part of his image. If Rodgers had just did what Bron did, no one would have cared.

Lol using bears fans as an analysis against Rodgers just kind of shows you don't know that rivalry, because it's one of the biggest in sports and he owns them. Consistently beats a divisional rival with a smile on his face and telling them he owns them in the middle of the game.... But to even compare Rodgers to Favre who sexually harassed a reporter, cheated on his wife while she was going through chemo, was a drug addict, stole millions from the State of Mississippi... They aren't comparable as people.
I'll admit I was wrong about my original point in that the vaccine didn't stop the spread in a meaningful way
