I think African Americans say this because they don't know where they come from nor do they care to find out.
He knows for certain that he is a man so he clings to that label but he probably doesn't know much of his past so he is basically deflecting.
Just like Raven she knows she American and a lesbian and clings to what she knows and then you see her changing her stance when it comes to heritage because she doesn't know her past.

CONDOMS, breh, CONDOMS. there's also vasectomies, adoptions and abortions. i didn't know that everytime people had SEX with other people, they were intending to make babies. ask yourself when you fukk. is it your intentions to impregnate a woman when you have sex with her? is that why she's on the birth control pill? is that why you use condoms? is that why some guys do crazy shyt like the pull out method? as i said the other guy, you do NOT have to be a STRAIGHT MALE to impregnate a woman. all you have to do is have the ability to produce sperm. that's it. sperm is sperm and an egg is an egg regardless of who it comes from. i can be a FATHER to if i impregnate a woman. just because i'm gay doesn't mean i lost the ability to produce sperm. it just means that i'm less likely to impregnate a woman compared to a straight guy who is attracted to women. he has a higher chance BUT it doesn't MEAN that he will be a father.
