About 90% of the population has no REAL hobbies outside of their jobs. If you're wondering why you feel unhappy and unfulfilled, this is why.

This ain't hard to believe. Ask your coworkers what they do during the week or on the weekends. It's usually bars/club and if they got wife/kids they definitely ain't doing shyt. I think it's a combination of low motivation and laziness.

I definitely want to get into Muay Thai, hoping I can sometime February if my finances right.
join with me. im gonna be whooping ass soon

The circles I'm in, our lives revolve around hobbies. I even be feeling guilty if I take a day after work and just go home and rest.

The idea that only 10% of people have hobbies is fukkin absurd. Reading, writing, drawing, collectin
sports cards, instruments, gardening, etc. The claim that only 1/10 people partake in such things
might be the dumbest shyt I've seen. :camby:

Having hobbies makes life way more colorful. Being able to play an instrument proficiently has made my life considerably richer than it was before. Would recommend for anyone to pick something up

A life filled with hobbies makes your life more interesting plus you gain a lot of knowledge and proficiency over a period of time

It costs a shyt ton of money though:pachaha:
It doesn't have to, I get audiobooks from the library and free ones online that I listen to at work so I'm getting paid while learning. I listen go science, history, documentaries etc.

But that's on top of many hobbies, it's wild though I've been in many circles and have been able to relate to random people in niche groups just off wanting to explore life and learn stuff. It's gonna sound pretentious but @Ezekiel 25:17 is right about many people not doing shyt. Like the opposite end of the spectrum is that people will just be a passive participant in a hobby like watching TV. But at the same time you can't say it isn't a hobby because they might enjoy the cinematography or the storyline or the writing etc.:yeshrug:

ATL, but rasied in DMV
My parents nor neither set of my grandparents had hobbies, and they did just fine. Tbh, a lot of people who have all these hobbies, especially the rich, be getting hurt or even killed doing them. I'm not talking about drawing, bird watching, playing pool, etc. I'm talking about hobbies like hunting, scuba diving, fishing, camping, skiing, hiking in risky areas, mountain climbing, etc... I've heard stories of people who had these physical type hobbies for years, and still got messed up. Just watch the news. A lot of these things happen to celebrities. But you don't hear about these mishaps when they happen to the average joe. Anyway, be a millionaire, then blow it all by accidentally getting shot at during a hunting trip, chased by a bear during a camping trip, visited by a shark while scuba diving, falling while horseback riding, etc... Then a lot of people who have hobbies, don't necessarily mean they're happy, nor do the hobbies make them happy. Plus a lot of people out grow hobbies. As they get older, they get more satisfaction just watching green trees, hearing the birds, and enjoying the rest of this beautiful nature that they took for granted in their younger years.

Of course there's nothing wrong with having hobbies, but never depend on them. One bad car accident, or just your body getting older, could end that hobby, especially if it's a more physical hobby.
