I don't really consider gaming in itself a hobby...its something that I enjoy doing to unwind but it's just a passive consumption kind of thing. I think the hobby side of gaming comes out when you're doing something with it - competing, streaming, creating content with it, etc. Could say the same in terms of watching sports vs playing/coaching.So gaming isn't a hobby, but video editing and content creation is?
If someone asks me about my hobbies I'm not gonna bring up me playing God of War on PS5 lmao, that's more of an interest. My actual hobbies are boxing, cooking, and public speaking, but stuff like games are what I do to chill unless I'm hitting up a tournament or something.
