About windows 10.....

Ever since upgrading to Windows 10 my fan has been loud af, is this a common thing for Win 10 users?

Your power options may have been changed to "performance." That happened to me too.

Type "Power Options" in the "Ask Me Anything" Cortana bar and change the settings to "Balanced"

If they're already on "Balanced" check you core clock speeds and temps with CPUID HWMonitor. Something might be heating up your CPU (which would make the fans loud as fukk). If you're clock speeds are at max all the time, check the task manager to see what's causing it.

Revert back to Windows 7. It is much more stable. It is very easy to use. It is like Windows XP. Very simple.

I got windows 8.1 I like it. Definitely going to look into this though. But I'm more than happy with just 8.1.

My HTPC has to have Windows 8.1 on it because of WMC and it not being available on Windows 10. That being said my other 2 PCs and my Surface, Laptop, and Netbook all have Windows 10 and if I could have it on the HTPC I would too. It's better than 8.1 by far.

Windows 10 seems bit buggy just because how they monitor you and what - it is a privacy concern. I hate how Microsoft inputs their programs and apps into the OS. It's a mess. If Windows 11 ain't like Windows 7, then it's a wrap. I will move onto Linux. Windows 7 still remains just because it resembles Windows XP.
