I was looking forward to this game too. Still bought it, not gonna cancel my preorder or anything. But I'm worried for the PC performance. shyt will probably be a major CPU hog and only use 1 core or some bullshyt
Yeah dat "cinematic feel" has less to do with framerate but more to do with just the way the scene is presented and other fancy tricks. I've played plenty of 30fps games that don't feel cinematic at all.
Matter of fact, if they give me a steady 30 fps on three monitors with 1000 NPCs on the screen I'm gonna go out and be happy.

for real the amount of 'path finding' and 'collision detection' would be crazy, and something(s) would probably go wrong

Pfft why stop there, the game should come with a kinect/PS Eye/Webcam to monitor your lighting condition and when the room gets darker the game will play.... after a series of trailers for upcoming cinematic games.maybe games should start putting the sound of a film projector in the background

i hate when shyt comes out in the press... and people really believe that's the dev just shooting the shyt with his homie
nah a meeting was set up... the probably got the questions in advance... they were damn sure educated, by upper management, on what to say regarding this topic... i'm sure a media person didn't show up out the blue, pick a random dev to talk to, dev just opens his heart, and spills the secrets, while speaking on the behalf of the entire staff and company
fukk no... this response is coached, made up by pr people, to decide a good answer, as to what is gonna go over better with fans, to keep the money flowing

so let me get this straight... a multimillion dollar company.. who has been making games, paying attention to gaming, and playing games for yearsssssss... just suddenly now figured out, that 60 fps in a game makes it look soap opera like???? and that if you use less power in graphics, it means more power for use in other areas??? really... in 2014 you just figured that out
they spent how many milllions to develop and make this game... went through the same pr to announce it'd be 1080p and 60 fps.... worked on doing that for months if not a year and change... probably pulled it off on pc... maybe pulled it off on a console or two (no stanning).........
then SUDDENLY, weeks before the game drops.... then just NOW figure out, heeeeeeeeey, games look better in 30 fps... fukk was we thinking??? lets go back and redo the game in a lower quality and frame rate... then make real and noticeable AI changes to the game with the extra space and power.... and still get it out relatively close to release date.... on multiple platforms

Ubisoft has been fukking over their customers for so long I think they are finally feeling the fire...they have been deliberately fukking up PC ports for years..lying and just saying outright dumb shyt...even this year with the whole Watchdogs issue...they fukked Nintendo gamers over big time...with their whole Rayman debacle on the WiiU..now they're fukkin over PS4 gamers as well...they're full of shyt and they lie and have made contradicting and backtracking statements this whole week...people are figuring out that they cant be trusted...and I dont believe that 1000 npc's shyt either...
