I'd say it was more....instinctual than 'intentional'. Either way she goof'd up.

But putting myself in her shoes, I don't think she planned on doing that at all. I don't even think she knew that she did it in the moment.

I think she was so locked in on winning the race that when someone, close enough to hit, passed her up she instinctually just started swinging as a reflex.

It was probably more instinctual and out of frustration and competiveness… she said the baton kept getting caught up behind her and those races are tight af so I could understand the frustration.


But thats no excuse. She would’ve done better by just saying it was a mistake and just apologize. I think the charge was necessary because it’s basically assault with a weapon especially if there is weight to it. But she should get something light and banned from the sport and it should die…

I do not agree with the death threats, racists slurs and messages she is receiving. She is still a child…

Again, I blame HER parents. This is shyt you supposed to get out of your child early in life.. not to randomly put hands or attack people out of feelings/emotions. It almost never ends well. Could’ve saved this young lady from all of this.
