I had to take child development as a prereq to one of my psychology courses.
So it always irritates me when people use sensationalist rhetoric like how they are talking about how american models have the 'frame of a prepubescent boy'.

They are just assuming the reader lacks critical thinking, or they would immediately realize the frame of a prepubescent boy is exactly that of a prepubescent girl, hence the prepubescent part. Its puberty itself that creates the divergent frames. So... they could say 'frame of a prepubescent girl' since they are talking about female models to begin with... but what they really want is the unconscious latent homophobia to influence the visceral response. They just bank on the notion that the reader inhales the connotation and doesn't think it through. The implication being the pedophile likes young girls cause they resemble young boys. But... you know whay else young girls resemble?
