Typical stan cries: "He's nothing like Ghostface! It's just the voice. Everybody's tripping when they mention Action and Ghostface. Action's more like DMX. What? Because DMX has a son, and Action has a son, therefore they're similar? He's nothing like Ghostface". Thoughts of your typical, brainwashed, incoherent Action Bronson stan who likes weak novelty rap.

Every one and their mom knows that Action's at-times flamboyant bars are stylistically similar to Deini. He sounds and raps like Ghost, especially in the beginning. Like I said earlier in this thread, Bronson has carved out a different lane for himself but the Ghost comparisons and mentions are gonna haunt him forever because he's derivative and dull. Essentially, a novelty act.

But I guess these reviews and forum posts aren't written in enough smiley faces of Obama, various NBA players and rappers so it might be hard to read:

Y'all stans can get mad and try and clown but nikkas know. I'm not the cornball wasting my time listening to a bootleg Ghostface. At the end of the day, y'all are looking stupid. If you like Action, that's perfectly cool. But don't attack dudes online out of the blue if they weren't talking to you. Unless you're looking for an argument.
It sounds like he's influenced by Ghost but they rap about different shyt, in different ways.
Some of their shyt overlap but they definitely have different types of feelings to their shyt.

The biggest similarity is their voice and the fact that they spit random ass bars sometimes.
People who listen to both ghost and action can almost not tell that they sound similar, at first plays yeah but not really.

This album is puzzling and troubling at the same time. Considering the stuff he's dropped before?

I'm left wanting. Kinda disappointed in this. Also, Party Supplies dropped the ball...how are you supposed to even perform this at a show???

His prior releases you could rock the fukk out to at a show...the beats alone would have you going.

This? I dunno...upon first listen I'm at a loss for words

He's made for going off of crazy obscure loops and 80's hits I knew a debut album would be too structured for his lane

Big league chew would have been a perfect intro to the album but the label wanted a hook

I don't get why y'all gotta break shyt down so much. Just listen or don't. shyt's entertaining to me so it'll get spins until something bumps it out the rotation....

Basically. Its such a tired conversation at this point. There were threads about this in 2010......

Ghost is Top 5, possibly the GOAT to me in terms of catalog and overall quality material.....yet I still enjoy Bronson music and understand his appeal. I dont hold him to the standard of classic Ghost, he'll never be that good, no one will. The influence is there, but its also his voice naturally. Im happy theres still a larger than life character out there spitting cartoonish outlandish bars with an attention to detail and a mean reference game like Bronson, even if its reminiscent of Ghost 15 years ago. Bronson has his own identity and appeal at this point. He makes fun music, nothing deep or spiritual like Ghost classic material

I respect that. You kept it real. You know it's not deep and of particularly high quality. Rotation music - basically stuff to be quickly consumed then thrown away or forgotten. Disposable shyt.

That's perfectly fine.

I'm a passionate hip hop head. And I'm critical. I analyze the shyt out of hip hop music. The flip side of being critical is that when something's really great, and great stuff always comes about once in a while, it blows my mind and I enjoy it way more than the average person.

there's this silly idea that critics don't enjoy the art they critique. Which is hilariously wrong, because if that were true, they wouldn't be critics in the first place. They become critics because they love the art on such a deep and spiritual level. Whereas your average person isn't really an art lover, doesn't understand how it functions, and just uses the art as something to escape for an hour or put in the background while he/she does something more important. Record companies know this and that's why the vast majority of the shyt they put out is exactly that.... shyt.

If you're gonna bump Action Bronson, don't hate on someone who bumps Chief Keef. It's the same quality level

Alright I got a full listen in on the album...streamed it so I am not sure about the production fully...

I thought it was above average. Not up on much of his past music save verses and songs here and there so no real expectation. It was 9 bucks I decided to blow on some music. He did a solid job on this project.

Too many highs and lows. I was disappointed. It truly was an album, but his attempt was bad. I'm pretty sure some of those songs that made it wasn't his choice. Production was kinda wishy washy too. What the hell man?
