Meanwhile, we’re having a funeral procession with metro busses for a slain metro employee that happened last week. Mentally ill gunman started shooting on the train platform and this elderly, almost retired employee jumps in and saves a woman from being shot. Then the bystanders band together and wrestle the gun away from him. That’s everyday life now.

I’m all for looking into mental health and feeling empathy for people with needs, but once you kill a person all bets are out of the window. There was no reason for this 43 year old dude to go to MSU, where he had no connection seemingly, and shoot random students. I don’t care if he was Black, White, Red…fukk him. Rest in piss.

The unraveling mental illness is a bigger issue than gun control. At a minimum they are intertwined irrevocably. You really can't stop someone from getting a deadly weapon if they have the will. You can slow them down and that will cause some to fall back(which is the hope spot I see in any gun control legislation) but if somebody is really determined?

Bro for the longest time, I wanted to live and work out there (mainly weather and money motivated) but god damn, especially with my son now
