10 yrs is crazy excessive though. That means really any oscar bait film Smith is in that he is looking to get nominated for will be at a disadvantage, he can't campaign at any of the dinners or brunches the academy throws. Other members are going to think voting for him will be a waste of a vote.
30 secs of madness toppled everything he was building up to forever.
He'll be fine, but whenever he looks at that oscar he'll feel nothing but regrets.
He could have done a million other things roughed Chris up, make him apologize without laying hands on him.
Instead Will let emotions overrule common sense.
And you just know Jada will be attending all the oscar events

10 Years? Who cares. Of course the Oscars would give a Black Man harsh punishment. They can't escape their racist history. Look this is the same Oscars that went Decades before they did anything about Polanski. Polanski was on the run for 4 Decades and they still gave him an Oscar and Standing Ovation. They even signed a Petition in support of Polanski. "But, But they banned Polanski". Stop trying to spin this. They didn't do jack sh!t to Polanski until recently. Decades after the fact. They banned Will Smith in two weeks. So Child sexual assult....nothing for decades but we got to lay the hammer on this Black Man for embarrassing our Show in two weeks. Yes Will Smith smacking Chris is worst than Child Abuse, that's the message here. Stop letting White Members of the Academy and These White Hollywood Elite act all righteous against Will.
These are the same people that gave Weinstein, Woody Allen and Polanski passes for Decades. They gave other White Actors with abuse drama and allegations constant passes. Will has pretty much been as squeaky clean for decades and he made one mistake and look at the reaction. Oh and they knew better than to take the Oscar away, with their racist history that would of blown up in their faces. I don't think Will cares about winning another one plus he can still be nominated. Will just has to stay in his lane and continue making his movies. Will Smith's name sells his movies. LOL @ "We are going to ban Will Smith for 10 years". They thought getting a black audience was hard before, LOL. Good luck the next decade. We were already like "F*ck the Oscars" anyway. "Oscarssowhite" just exposed their racism continuing but we had already let the Oscars go because we see through a lot of these awards shows for what they are. Will boycotted the First Rap Grammy because of their racism (And they still don't televise the Rap categories like they should) and now he's banned from the Oscars. Also Will resigned from the Academy so he banned himself. At the end of the day Will will be fine. I'm sure he'll get a ton of other Awards down the line.
