My daughter's ballet teacher majored in Dance - I didn't realize how many levels there are to professionally trained dancers. I used to take ballet classes myself when I was younger and my dance instructor was strict and serious as hell with us- Debbie Allen levels of intense, lol. They usually dance internationally for various prominent dance companies, performances workshops, and for different studios. After they "age out", they usually fall back on teaching. You've heard of the Performing Arts Schools - the "Fame" school in New York so I think it's like that but on a college level. I'm sure they still have to take "regular" core classes too, included in their curriculum, not just dance or art courses. I say, let her do her.. She may be the next Misty Copeland..
