YouTube is working on not allowing you to watch YouTube while running an adblocker.

They are doing this in phases and this is the first one.

Either you watch the ads or you pay for premium in the soon to be future.

watching in your browser or the official app is pure peasant status

use smth like streamlink or piped and you can watch ad-free on any device, with any media player you choose

I have Opera in one of my laptops and youtube is running fine with its built in ad blocker. I would simply stop watching YouTube if I couldn't avoid ads.

I went into enter element picker mode and highlighted the youtube popup and applied the setting. so far I havn't seen anymore popups. im still testing

YouTube premium is a must if you watch YouTube on a tv. I haven't seen a YouTube ad in years. When I watch regular tv I be so confused by all the ads like this can't be life.

I agree, but a lot of creators are starting to get real trigger happy with all the in-video ads and sponsors. it's annoying, cuz I'm paying NOT to see that bullshyt.

YouTube premium is worth it for me...because I watch a lot on my phone, and being able to continue watching the video even when I'm not in the app is essential. I can type stuff up while using the PiP feature
