Brah talked to Silver the first time around and convinced him he was a changed man. Shook his hands and committed to doing better. Weeks later he got caught on video again. Silver is going to look super weak if he doesn't drop the hammer. He will get a half season suspension and that's only to make things somewhat right for the sponsors but he deserves a full season suspension.

JA made Silver look like a fool and If I was him I would do the full year ban.

Wait I guess I forgot. Didn’t remember he got suspended for the Indy thing. Thought suspension was for having guns? Which is why I said the NBAPA need to raise hell.

When you start allowing your players multiple suspensions for shyt that isn’t illegal or against the CBA you going down a slippery slope regardless of how dumb Ja moving.
:comeon:
They didn't suspend him for ownership of a firearm, he was on instagram flashing it like he on some gangster shyt. It's not that hard to figure out why he shouldn't be doing that as one of the faces of the league.

I never said Ja's behavior wasn't reprehensible I clearly said half a season sounds good to me. That doesn't change the cheerleading in this thread of nikkas happy of the possibility of a harsh punishment just like were for Kyrie. Don't play with me with the "You don't realize how serious this is" shyt....

I know Ja fukked up, and I wanna see him learn from it, move on from it and succeed. nikkas in here talking about bury him and give him no pay yay!!! It's all here in the thread, stop it....
You're ignoring that Silver is the head honcho of the league. You can't have a sit-down with the boss to apologize, get a slap on the wrist and do the same thing a couple of months later. He has to, simply to invoke his authority. If he doesn't do anything now, the entire league will take advantage. If Ja was on probation, any infraction could send him to jail...no matter how minor. Think of this as such.

Half season for anything but the Indy incident the NBPA needs to raise hell

I dont think NBPA rushin to cape for Ja on this one...

The NBA could receive pressure from some agents and other teams to issue serious consequences to Ja Morant for again appearing on social media waving a firearm. Morant was suspended eight games in March and met with Adam Silver before returning to the Memphis Grizzlies.

"I'm curious what stance [the players association] might take," said Tim MacMahon on the Basketball Illuminati podcast. "I've talked to agents of other superstar players and they're pissed off too. Because this is not just a bad look for Ja Morant. This is not just a bad look for the Memphis Grizzlies. This reflects poorly on the entire league.

"I'm talking to an agent of another superstar and he's like 'Man, this really taints the image of the whole league. I've got my clients who are doing everything right, who are never sniffing any kind of trouble. Positive members of their community. So on and so forth, but then the perception is going to be 'Look at this fool who thinks playing with guns on Instagram Live is cool.''

"So the players' association thing will be interesting because it's not just the league office, it's not just the Memphis Grizzlies. Other teams are livid about this and other agents are livid about this because they feel it reflects poorly on everybody."

Depending on what the “additional findings” are the NBAPA might not have a leg to stand on if Silver brings down the hammer (which is looking increasingly likely)

The way Silver also included the Grizzlies organization in saying that they need to give Ja a better space hints that maybe the team was covering some shyt up or looking the other way, and i’m sure they’ll throw Ja under the bus before wanting an entire team wide investigation.

I’m thinking half the season on top of a SIGNIFICANT fine. He’s already lost out on major money by not making All NBA and got a slap on the wrist with the 8 game suspension. Combining losing out on half a season’s worth of pay plus losing additional money SHOULD be the wake up call he needs if there’s a SHRED of common sense left in him.
