so we have so called hip hop fans discussing a pop singers album sales and a couple people arguing over a clothing brand?

I need that aggressive content in my life.

I agree but she had a point...even going back the 80's, black UK Soul/R&B based singers never blew like that outside of sade and even then, some UK posters in another thread she's not even appreciated in the UK.

IDK...I never really checked for estelle like that

She's having zero impact in the USA compared to even the likes of Sam Smith and Hozie
r

Have you listened to her music? It aint really designed to smash up charts. She's definitely appreciated in the right circles though.
Her career will have legs, she's building a solid fan base.

You can say for just about any good artist. This is about blowing up

Yeah, again, you can say that for a ton of black soul/R&B singers. The question is why can't they reach Adele or even Hozier and Sam Smith status? The biggest R&B based sigers from the UK all happen to be "white". Omar never achieved that kind of stardom

....instead it was another white guy

FKA is doing very well, I think she has blown up. What she has done is arguably better than blowing which can be temporary.

She's gonna have a long career. She's relevant
