Adele is in a class by herself. Her new album, "25," continues to move units in massive volumes. The British songbird's third effort sold 1,056,429 in it's second week, pushing the 2 week total to 4.4 million.

According to HitsDailyDouble, Adele's "25" is the first album to sell more than 1 million in the 1st and 2nd week

Apples to oranges man, Drake drives a whole culture. Drake can sell so many more products than just music, Adele could too but not like Drake. Adele could sell make up and weight loss products to middle aged women. After the Hotline Bling video the sales for the Moncler jacket he had on skyrocketed and that was for a $1200 jacket with no mention of what it even was.

this is unbeleiveable. im not sure she would have sold more in an earlier era though. i think the people showing up now are the same people who would have showed up 15 years ago. where as hip hop fanbase has obviously dwindled.

People need to stop mentioning Adele's sales numbers and trying to somehow bring hip-hop into the conversation. It's a stupid comparison. There is not one single goddamn thing a hip-hop artist or executive can learn from Adele's current success. Nothing.
