I’ve never heard of a player getting bought out of a shoe deal. Adidas stuck with Derrick Rose for all those years.

Damn.

:rose1: got a nine figure shoe deal. Not an eight figure. And Rose probably told them no when they might have approached him regarding a buyout.

not even a big deal, when he comes back he can earn something else. Blessing in disguise.
smart move for Adidas too, why throw the bag at him when their are rookies you could buy into? and right now is the ultimate hype beast
young children instagram era of all time. Plus, when he comes back ... nike can easily spin this into a fukk adidas spin campaign. It works for everyone.
He's the leader of his team, he's always going to eat regardless of his comeback probably retiring in washington.

It's sad some of us are laughing at homie losing his money like that due to a gruesome injury. Not that homie is starving or anything but... :manny:
I dont get why he's so hated. Sometimes i feel like Wall-hate is almost comparable to Dwight-hate :lupe:
He never lived up to his potential like Dwight. He came in the season after the Rozay MVP season and Calipari had us gassed off his one season at Kentucky (John Wall is a much better player than Derrick Rose was at the age)
Dude moved more fluid than Rose and had the capability of being a legit 2 way player. After his rookie season you figured he was ready to take the leap.
:francis: Nah. Still couldn’t shoot and read a defense to be an elite point guard

Next season he’ll be good. He’ll have a jumper
:francis: Nah. Still couldn’t shoot and was starting to look :flabbynsick: Weight wise. Plus the Kyrie Irving hype really took off

by the time he took his craft as serious as he should’ve the gap he had on the other point guards in the nba when he started his career shrunk drastically.

he played well just never dominated like he potentially could’ve
