I know a little about the Jamaican maroons from learning about Rastafarianism but I might need to look more into the history. Honestly I been meaning to learn more about Caribbean history as a whole.
Study about Jamaica and you see black Excellence on how they overthrew slavery and embrace their roots.
Slavery in America was a totally different bytch because it had too many CAC population in general and the land was vast and wide, unlike Haiti and Jamaica.

Well its over-discussed. To your point though, Christianity was a double edged sword. While it was a great tool of control it also turned into a tool of enlightenment and rebellion. The seeds of Black Nationalism came from 19th century movements that began in the Bible and in the church. Nat Turner himself was inspired by his religion to do what he did.

You're asking me to substantiate common knowledge anybody can see with a cursory look at history? Arabs starting enslaving Africans about 9 centuries before Europeans did. They started all that the ugly stereotypes about black people being ape-like, subhuman, having uncontrollable lust etc. and those ideas got imported to Europe.
All through Arab literature and historical accounts you hear them talking about black people being inferior and the like.

Outside of Iberia, Europeans had no contact with Africans until they started "discovering"everything around the 14th century or so. What knowledge they had of Africans came from dealings with the Ottoman Empire and the Moors.

Most Africans who were slaves of other Africans became that way because they were captured during tribal wars and shyt. They did NOT get treated the way American slaves were known to be treated. And African slaves could earn their way out of slavery
I think I know what you meant. I think they did try to use European and Natives as slaves at first, but it didn't really work out for them. Africans could survive longer under those conditions if I remember correctly and the Natives would wither get sick/die from the punishment or knew the country to well to be contained there
