Immigrants regardless of race are more likely to work the hell out of a low wage job, and work their way up. Meanwhile, look at the service at fast food places in the hood.

They value education. Black Americans don’t value education. It doesn’t sound nice, but it’s the truth.

Immigrant black people seem to be doing better. Their kids get better grades, and there is an emphasis on hard work, and education.

Here we go…

I am in both worlds. I benefited from immigrate parents, but lived in America as a Black American.

The people who come to America more than likely would have succeeded in their country as in be the top 10%. They decided to take their talents elsewhere and get that bread. Basically, to invalidate the argument most immigrants can’t be bums, especially those who can’t just cross the border.

FBA built this country and were/have been discriminated against their whole lives. Enslaved for 300+ years and second class citizens legally up until the 60’s. Redlining was a thing up until the 90’s.

Feds flooded our neighborhoods with drugs in the 70-80’s and broke our homes up. The govt has been against the FBA the whole time. Now you expect them to grab them boot straps?

“Slavery is the past, you can get this bread now.” Most people are products of their environment. Look at the FBA environment and tell me you can guarantee everybody can become a rose out that toxic soil.

I don’t want to make an excuse for FBA men, but I try to understand the history and background. All we can do is try to come together as a community and do the best we can to lift our brothers and sisters out their environment to show them they can be successful.
