One of the biggest myths-largely gone un-checked due to the(false) narrative driven by a spitit of 'Panafrikanism', is Garvery's relevance, and influence in the ADOS community, in his own time. Largely his effect was relatively miniscule, if not an annoyance to the masses who mostly were extremely skeptical, and saw his efforts as an imposition from an outsider rather than the Messianic figure- he was later painted as.

IMO, not really. But, you have the right to your opinion.

You are correct about his father. That was a mistake. I know his mother had a nervous breakdown and lived with his sister from 13-14 to his early 20's.

So key parts of Malcolm's development were with his mother and his sister who was raised by his mother(I assume), point is you don't have to have some kinda pure ADOS upbringing or be ADOS to fight for us and understand our needs. Regarding Garvey's influence, I don't think it's a matter of opinion honestly, but that's not the point either as much as the point is about his heart and love for our people
