He hasn't Passed Brown or Sanders in my opinion.

Barring anymore serious injuries or suspensions, I can see this debate going more in AD's favour with about 2-3 more years of elite play.

In football, you can gameplan a player out of ONE GAME which is much easier than ONE SERIES.

It's a DUMB MEASURE.

Keep that rubbish for basketball and get over that corny ESPN contrived LT trash.
So LT did ball during the playoffs? Just even one time. Cause if he didnt how is that Espn contrived bullshyt.

:what: what don't you understand about better defenses selling out to stop the run in the playoffs? '85 Payton went from 4.8 ypc regular season to 2.8 ypc in the playoffs. He turned to trash in one week?

But plenty of running backs have struggled in the playoffs not just LT? That playoff bullshyt dont fly with running backs. I can see it for QB's not running backs

You know how easy it is for a defense to gameplan and dedicate to stopping 1 guy? Like the RB controls whats gonna happen in the game?

Especially in a 1 game situation with a week or more to prepare for said player. Like a coaching staff wont put 8-9 in the box all day to stop a great back and wont let him run

So is Barry all of a sudden not worthy of GOAT discussion cause he got -1 yards in a playoff game?

You think Bo was as elusive as AP? :dahell:

I would say AP is better since he's more agile and has quicker feet to evade defenders when running. For their size they were both great at making people miss is what I'm basically saying. Bo was 235 but was outrunning DBs and had great power and balance. Peterson is the only other back with the same speed, power and balance I've seen since Bo.

Players pre 00's took a lot more punishment.
The NFL of the 80's would be outlawed in todays world.

I was watching one of those old NFL films...and one player said in pileups it wasnt uncommon for guys to rub some type of powder in your eyes to temporarily blind you.

Not taking anything away from AP...but like dude I quoted said...we still have to give it more time.
If you aren't taking anything from AP then you essentially saying your "grittyness" metric is irrelevant.
