The case was being dismissed, reschedule the case, simple as that.
This was the judge flexing his/her power, nothing more and nothing less.
That yall are so quick to not see the real issue of judicial misconduct and would rather place the blame on the person with no power, bringing abuse on themselves, is telling.

1. don't do the dumb shyt that he did in the first place and he wouldn't have had to stand in front of the judge. Can we place blame on HIM for all this and not some "system"?

2. i'm sure he KNEW of when and what time he was to appear in front of the judge and him failing to appear on time shouldn't mean that he's given preferential treatment and having the judge reschedule. Be there on time, get it thrown out, and go on about your business. He has NO ONE to blame but himself.

Judge just grandstanding to put a black kid in his place.
The case was going to be dismissed, he didn't need to be there for it to be dismissed.
Damn shame, this is the US though.
Sounds like he was the one grandstanding if all he had to do was show up to court on time to get the case dismissed:francis:

For real...at most Judge should have adjourned the case and make his ass come back to court next month.

If your case gettin dismissed and you can't even SHOW UP you don't deserve it being dismissed :manny:

Unless he was sitting in the hospital watching a relative die, shouldn't NOTHING have stopped him from showing up

How was he grandstanding be being late, like someone said earlir, his lawyer should have told the judge about the issue and at worst it should have been rescheduled.

What does putting this man in jail for contempt of court do for society, for him, or at all, except allow the judge to flex undue power. No different than a cop fukking with somone because he is annoyed

1) His charge was dismissed and going to be dismissed.
2) Doesn't matter if he fukked up, just push it back if its going over, fukking with someone's life because you can when it isn't neccessary isn't something I will ever co-sign. I do find it funny how a lot of you fall over yourself to defend bullshyt when things happen to people you don't like.

I actually LIKE AB even @Newzz can tell you that so don't tell me who I don't and don't like. Again, just show up on time, regardless of if one feels he deserves to be there or not, and get it over with. Why is that so hard for YOU to understand?? :mindblown:

What is hard for you to understand that it isn't reasonable for a judge to put a man/womn in jail for 30 days because they showed up late to court.
Its like I'm speaking chinese, its not reasonable, it isn't right, its is not justified at all.

And he wasnt asking the world of him to show up ON TIME either. This was avoidable on AB's part no matter HOW much you wanna defend AB on this.

What does it matter if it is avoidable, when we can judge the actions the judge made.
Broner was late, delay the proceedings and move on. That is literally all it would take.
What does arresting him and putting him in jail for 30 days serve.

This reminds me of when I used to hear folks defend the police beating Rodney King. he should have stayed still, no shyt, cops still shouldn't have beaten him and not been punished.

lol don't even compare a police beating to this, that's absolutely asinine and ridiculous bruh :heh:

Again, if you KNOW how slimy and crooked these judges can be, especially when YOU are in the CLEAR wrong, there's NO way in hell you need to be basically missing your court appearance, NO WAY. All this other stuff you spewing is for the birds, be there and get this done and you're serving NO jail time. I mean, why should the judge delay it when YOU'RE the one who missed the scheduled appearance?

Its the exact same thing, its misapplication of government power and I'm consistant in being against it. I'm against it when police, politicians, judges, and DA misuse their power, especially for petty ego shyt.

Again I could use your logic against any police brutality, Micheal Brown should have just been quiet and the officer told him to get out the street and he should have put his head down and should have been quiet, then he wouldn't have gotten shot and killed. I mean we know how slimy and crooked they cops are. right? Same with rodney king, same with Eric Garner, and etc.

I'm just consistant with my stance and it seems you aren't and if that is the case we will simply not ever agree.
