Make certain that your lady is getting enough rest. If you're going to breast feed, go buy a decent breast pump and have her fill up as many bags as possible. Sleep in the nursery with your baby girl and you get up and feed her throughout the night. Absolutely cater to her because giving birth taxes women mentally and physically.

Be patient and remember every decision you make from here on out impacts your kid.

Just the fact that you're here asking lets me know you will be fine. Congrats, every man wants a son but every man needs a daughter. Having a girl will soften you in ways that you never thought. You will treat your lady even better than you're already treating her.

Where do I start....

1. If guys had issues before, especially when it comes to running the household...it will be magnify to the ^1111000093492092

2. Layout a plan starting now who is responsible for what...so you don’t have to constantly ask her to do xyz and vise versa; all involve must know their role and responsibility.

3. Having an organized household is extremely important to reduce stress and focus more on your blessing

4. have your finances in order, who is paying for what; daycare depending where you live is expensive.

5. Read books...baby first year helped me a lot. Everyone is going to come at you with all types of advise on how to care for your child, reading books will give you an independent POV that you can shut the noise of others and pick and leave their advises.

6. Have your baby on a schedule; babies are really smart and they love structure. Tell your girl to look up newborn routine on Pinterest or google.maternity leave is a bytch and a routine keeps you moving.

7. you don’t need a lot of baby clothes focus more and toddler clothes and shoes. Diapers and wipes.

8. toys are great; specially those that are gear towards motor skills, it gets them tired and ready for a nap....it should be feed, play, nap through the day and the night routine

9. Read read read read read read to your child every night as part of your night routine. My son knew his ABCs and Count from 1-10 as a 1 year old.

10. know each other parenting goals.

11. never sit back and let her do everything.

12. you are not going to sleep for awhile. So plan how you guys are going to tackle waking up in the middle of the night. If she is breast feeding this can be hard to do that’s why is important that during the day she has help so that she can get some sleep.

13. if she is breast feeding and going to work after maternity leave, tell her to pump after or during when she is feeding the baby so she can start storing her breast milk.

14. start potty training at 18 months.
that’s all I got.

15. have vitamin D on your baby shower list; the baby needs to take it for a year.

16. Women have baby blues (hormones going back to normal) after delivery some severe others mild. Keep an eye on your girl for the signs and get her the help that she may need.

17. When ready go on dates if possible; don’t let go of your intimacy cause at the end of the day you gotta have each other.

oh yeah congratulations!

I appreciate those words. We are for sure going to breast pump so I can do my part - I think it's good for me to be able to have that bonding as well with baby girl.

We were thinking for the first few months putting a bassinet just right next to us when we sleep until she's old enough for the crib in the nursery. You think that would work or maybe too tough for us to sleep at all?

Enjoy each moment.

NOTHING in the world is more important than your family now. Married or not. Treat ur girl and newborn as family.

There's no more u. It's US. Don't forget that.

Always put ur child and partner first. Above family, parents etc.

Be a parent. Ur kid will remember everything it's scary. Keep them smiling man.

Best thing in the world is being a father. Bless up.
