Basically I can't save money for shyt.

I'm not completely irresponsible. I take care of my bills and debts and whatnot, but if I have any extra money for whatever reason I just won't save the shyt. Money just burns a damn hole in my pocket.

Anyone got any advice on how to either change my mentality, or where I can put my money so that I wont be tempted (or perhaps even able) to spend it?

When it comes to saving money you have to

1.) Create financial goals for yourself

2.) Develop a Savings habit/strategy

3.) Budget. Spending money correctly and efficiently. Lowering cost of bills that you can do successfully.

4.) The biggest thing here is discipline.

if you don't need it, don't buy it.

If you can't figure out whether you want or need something for whatever dumb reason,

ask yourself....

would any of those broads you cant stand buy it regardless of whatever responsibilities they got?

if you answer yes and still wanna buy it, then just :sadcam: and acknowledge you're just like them, you bytchmade ass nikka

Don't be a bytch looking at your bank account like it's one of your nikkas. You just gona blow funds and it's fine, cause your man got it.

When your man funds run out and he cut yo ass off, what you gonna do? Be mad at your bank account?

Save your cash phsyically and watch it stack, it's a great feeling seeing that wad get bigger and bigger. I personally like that more than seeing the numbers on the bank account, don't feel an attachment to it, but when you got it in your hand you can FEEL that money leaving you.

On a serious note, figure out what kind of saver you are. For example, I’m not good at budgeting but if I put money in a savings account I don’t touch it. So I immediately move 10% of my check into a savings account. That way, after I pay my bills, everything else is extra and I don’t have to feel bad if I spend it.

If you're paid by direct deposit then have it go directly into your savings. Transfer out only what you need into your checking.

Start using coupons. Most grocery stores will let you download digital coupons in the app, and you can use the paper coupon on top of that.

And try to not buy clothes are anything that isn’t on sale.

I just made it harder for me to get it. I was the same way so I opened a savings account at my bank but I can only get money out of it by going to the bank. I'm not going to the bank if it's not important.

When my direct deposit goes thru I see what I need for bills, keep 50 to 100 for gas and whatever else and the rest in savings.
