They had already tweaked the engine for Def Jam Vendetta and Fight for New York though

The AKI engine can be tweaked and has been multiple times. Y’all don’t know wtf you talmbout. People have been clamoring for this engine to be used again for years. Hell you don’t need to do anything major to it because the feel of that engine is perfect for wrestling games. Me and my cousins still play Revenge and No Mercy every Sunday before kickoff.

Both Aki Def Jam games were better than any wrestling game put out by 2K. Thats enough to know that they can tweak the formula and make it something that resonates with the current audience.

Nikkas in this thread are either young, or stupid or both. People out here talking about playing a new game in the no mercy engine isnt gonna work bc the engine is "outdated" and then go play firepro wrestling or wwe 2k.

Both of which has engines older than the AKI one. The FirePro formula has been around since the 80s and yall aint hating on that, despite the game being trash outside of the creation system.
