I'm talking about racial unity. If we had that, I don't believe we would have sold each other into slavery, which set the stage for colonization. Every group of people has their beefs, but you set aside beefs when there's a common enemy trying to destroy both of you.
Too much tribalism. Alot of them still beef to this very day

Not how it works. You only think like that because you feel some special way about white people now.

May this forever be a reminder of what happens when you're not united. You have to unite against a common enemy. Not war with each other even more. Not sell your people to the common enemy. The whole world was coming to destroy our ancestors, and they couldn't squash their beefs to fight the common enemy.

If there was unity, the trans-atlantic slave trade wouldn't have happened. Africans were only united by tribes, countries, and religion. The world was trying to destroy black people, they didn't care about the details.
There were tribal lands, kingdoms and chiefdoms. saying because we didn't shape our world the same way Europeans did their means we didn't have unity is false. The world just changed and we got swept up in it and had to adapt rapidly. Trans Atlantic Slave trade applies to a minority of Africa. Yet Colonialism applied to a vast majority.

They bought and stole people and enslaved others right at home. Whatever happened was going to happen regardless. We didn't have the artillery power or the foresight to predict the level of malicious intent demons carry. There was no memo going out saying the world was trying to destroy us.

Today there is a race consciousness that didn't exist back then.

I agree with your sentiments but Africa is fukking huge; it's way, way bigger than what you see on a conventional map. Unity did exist in regions but not as a whole and by neatly drawn borders like in Europe.

Even the Europeans fought for centuries before they got there. To this day the French and English still beef from shyt centuries ago.

It wouldn't have made a difference. They didn't have guns.

Some countries weren't militarily or technologically advanced enough to stop the Europeans. Others were too into consumerism and manufacturing. For example, there was African nations who bought guns. But none who manufactured them. More importantly, none who tried. Also remember that slavery in Africa was very different than slavery in the Americas. In the Americas, it was far more cruel and brutal. Lastly, the US, China, and India can easily fit into Africa with room to spare. And that's 3 billion people.
