Any thoughts? No other group of people collectively (for the most part) call each other words that were initially used to degrade them in every sense.

why would a people actually FIGHT and make ARGUMENTS to keep on using the word?? They will argue with another who says "Hey, its kinda weird that you guys call each other that bad, negative and silly word. Perhaps you guys should stop." They would likely respond with "its not the not the "N" word with "ER" but with an "A" --- as if that makes a difference.

They even want exclusive rights to saying it...?? They've essentially taken full ownership of the word and are proud of it.

No one did that.The word is just pronounced that way by improper english. Just like "Chopper" can be pronounced "Choppa" / "Baller" can be pronounced "BALLA" and so on. This so-called distinction is probably a way to make those who use the word feel better without they themselves even knowing

The term "******" has no history in Caribbean or South America. Its a southern America thing.

I have no clue why its used but its definitely a cool thing now. I sometimes use it on these forums but I never say it in real life. I didn't grow up hearing people here say "nikka".

My point is that OP is right. No other group other than AAs, on a large scale, use pejorative terms among themselves... to describe themselves, etc.. terms that were, and still are, used by outsiders to dehumanize and degrade them

And no one has yet to have proven such a thing, yet we've had poster, after poster, flat out tell you guys, that we have been around many people of other races who have addressed themselves and others as derogatory terms. It's like you guys are pretty much ignoring anything anyone has to say that doesn't fit with your narrative and then patting yourselves on the back while throwing out more baseless assumptions and generalizations. I think you, and others who think like the TS need to actually get out in the real world and witness first hand how people interact, because this thread is doing nothing more than exposing a whole lotta ignorance.
