Wonderful for African people.

Most Black Americans didn't know what Africans were doing in the 1900's -- especially on a large scale to influence our entertainment.

So I am guessing it's in our DNA --- Due to our ancestors being from Africa -- we are going to have some.. well many.... similarities.

But, did they [Africans] create it in the States -- NAH.

Genetically you are African but culturally you are closer to European

How did you come to this conclusion, And where do you live?

Also, even though you feel this way about AA, you insist on posting on this forum, instead of just going to niaraland where you wouldn't have to be bothered with us. It's the most backward shyt I've ever seen.

And I only see this directed at AAs even though us diasporians share similar cultures (i can only personaly speak for Jamaicans, AAs, Bahamians, and Ricans) and in some cases histories. Some foreign on the internet make it seem like West indians didnt go threw the same shyt AA did. They'll try disassociate people like the Gullah Geeche from AA, but act like every Jamaican is a Maroon

:heh:

Refuting the myth that Black American music/culture is "Europeanized".

@Diasporan Royalty @IllmaticDelta and @Supper destroyed this myth in a single thread which I linked to you before but you either didn't read it or you're just choosing to be a hard ass.

Lmaaooooo FIRST try to claim that BAs know nothing about Africa or Africans AND THEN passive aggressively try to claim we stole breakdancing from you brehs

And that shyt didn’t look like breakdancing to me but whatever helps you sleep at night :mjlol:. We twerk our asses having never seen africans too.

BAs do our own thing period and y’all watch our every move and imitate PERIOD, especially contemporary culture.

aframs are genetically pred african

culturally they start at an african base but are a NEW WORLD FUSION that is distinct from both continental-old world africa and old world europe but leans more to the african base. The european influence in Aframs is mainly Anglo-Celtic (British Isles)

Find me native British Isles music (Anglo-Celtic) that sounds anything similar to Blues music/vocal techniques. I can easily find stuff from Africa with a similar vibe

this is what white american music sounded like w/o aframs

now find me something from the british isles that sounds anything like this?

aframs do though:mjgrin:

Not sure what you are trying to say. But, I have always been up front and open about being proud that my ancestors are from Africa.

I have also been upfront and open I don't have any issues with Africans -- here or on those who stay on the Continent.

I only dislike negative words and attitudes expressed out loud and proud about Black Americans.

Thanks

The amazing thing is when the 60s & 70s came and things went full circle and you had AA's influencing their Continental Africa Cousins which in turn created even more new forms of Music like Afro Funk and such.

They don't here you though. All of it is right out of the Blues, which is from the Sahel. Blues, Rock and Roll, Country, Rap, Jazz, all of it. Right from the source.
