Yes.

When I hear the word nikka I think of a lazy no good bum with no identity or self respect standards or direction in life.

I wouldn't hire, do business, or trust the judgment of any professional black person who consistently uses that word.

I don't have confidence in a Black person who calls themselves a nikka.
If you think about it would you trust a person to do your taxes or be your accountant who calls themselves nikka? No.I believe this is why the confidence level in black people is low when it comes to business mainly due to the standards being so low.
Well thats UR problem and not OURS. Ur a c00n, we dont think like u. U think like a racist prejudiced white person, stereotyping and assigning negative characteristics to stuff that u perceive as being "typically black". "Oh he listen to Hip-Hop, he must be a thug" "Oh he says nikka, he gotta be a lazy bum".

If my accountant was black and called me nikka, that would be a plus and a positive in a relationship. U kno wut, id be rdy to bet that Obama says nikka when talkin to his boys behind closed doors. shyt, him and Michelle prolly use it in between themselves when fittin. I.E. Romney saying he will win during elections "Obama to Michelle: That nikka :heh:"

Edit: Btw ur explanation wasnt concrete . shyt, u didnt explain shyt at all.

Comparing the use of the N word to cocaine is kind of a far stretch dont u think, lol? Aint shyt nikkas aint Aint shyt nikkas cause they use nikka, the reasons are deeper and more complex than that. Its kind of a trivial issue IMO, at least to when pertaining to us.

we didn't just wake up one day out of nowhere and start calling each other nikka. this is a direct result of black people internalizing racism from white people to the point where we finally believe we are nikkas, repetition is the best teacher and after hundreds of years of being called nikka, Black people finally got the message, we're nikkas.

we've internalized and made it a part of our culture and vernacular, on the surface it seems cool that we flipped a negative into a positive and made the word cool and alluring, but it originated from Black people internalizing white racism.

even though you don't personally use the word nikka, you're still a part of the group that does.

I do agree that we as Black people are mentally sick in America and around the world and it's a direct result of white supremacy and it's war on non-white people.

lining up Black people who aren't cognizant of our collective situation will do nothing more than leave a large amount of Black people dead which will put us in an even more vulnerable position than we're already in.

I don't have the answers but we need to figure out how to make Black people understand their situation fully.

Right.I am apart of the group that does use the word nikka and it's my job to correct the ignorant.

Indeed, the firing squad may have not been a good idea for the ignorant no self-respect having segment of the black population but there need to be some type of discipline or accountability when it comes to these idiots who continued to push black people backwards.

We can't wait forever for the idiots to wake up and see the bigger picture.

Drastic times calls for drastic measures.

How long must we wait for these idiots to wake up?

Ok, lets say it came from that. But today, is anyone a victim of internalized racism when they use it? I dont think so. If anything, a lot of times nikka has a positive connotation(my nikka) and even denotes superiority(real nikka, that nikka). I rly dont see or believe that it affects our psyche in a negative way, as no one associates that word with something inherently negative to begin with.

Self respect is determined by a perons ACTIONS.

When. you accept being called a nikka, ppl dont take you serious, dont respect you and treat you like a nikka.

No. I demand respect by the way i carry myself.

yes they are victims of internalized racism, our entire communities are victims of internalized racism, once again, black people didn't just wake up one day calling themselves nikkas, white people taught them they were nikkas and Black people internalized it and accepted it.

whether black people who use the word see it as a negative word or not is irrelevant because the word wouldn't be so widely used today were it not for white racism.

nikka its called self respect for a reason. Its respect of SELF, not ur respect of that person. How actions are perceived is subjective.

When u accept? nikka my nikkas aint demeaning me by callin me nikka why would I have to accept or reject it. Thats like accepting being called dude or guy :heh:. If a white person tries to call me the N word, thats a different story and thats where my self-respect kicks in.

And I dont kno if u do IRL but u aint demanding much respect right now :heh: fukk you nikka you a bytch ass nikka I dont respect you :pacspit:

But seriously tho, u seem to me like one of those uppity white ppl pleasing brothers that think theyre the good ones. Pretty much a c00n.

u kno what, wut ur saying seem like empty sensationalizing statements to me. would u be able to actually concretely explain HOW black ppl demonstrate internalized racism by using the N word?

If you respect yourself you then you would not embrace a racial slur created by your colonizer that was made to the dehumanize black people .

This explains why no other racial group besides black people have done such a thing like embracing the word nikka. Maybe it's because the other racial groups understand the importance of valuing their identity.

Ignorant black people like you need to be isolated from the vast majority.

I can explain how black people exhibit internal racism when using the word nikka.

On the conscience, It's easier to kill a nikka then it is to kill a black man. If you're with your friends and you say lets go kill that nikka who disrespected us opposed to saying lets go kill that black man who disrespected us, it would be easier on the conscience.

Knowing that you're killing a black man would affect your conscience however saying that you're killing a nikka makes it easier on the conscience just like a Klansmen.

Before most of us commit a homocide or a drive by shooting we say let's go kill that nikka which is similar to what a Klansmen would say before they go out to kill a black person. So that is the way black people have internalized racism or self hatred when using the N word.

It's crazy how accepted nikka has become. It was definitely born out of some sefl-hating shyt.

If you look at old black novels and books it was spelt ''N-i-g-g-er''....even some of those old slave narratives...the bed wenches and c00ns who live in the house would refer to OTHER slaves that they snitch on as ******s.

Read Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl - Harriet Jacobs

Even as recently as Donald Goines' novels the characters in the ghetto refer to themselves as the one with the -er ending. You should be under no illusion as to it's intent.

Can a word like that ever become neutral to the point you label yourself, family and friends as sub-human?

I'm Nigerian and I don't use the N word at all. No particular reason I just don't feel comfortable using it so I don't. Majority of my friends and family do use it which is cool. Each to their own.
