imagine bragging about building something and yet allowing every other immigrant group to stake claim to it, without doing anything about it. this is not a flex.
africans will run Harlem in the future and theres nothing you will do about it![]()
Its hilarious that you are chastising black foreigners for migrating to another country when there are records of ADOS fleeing America for legitimate reasons. You also have European ancestors in your bloodline, and I have never seen you ever disrespect your European ancestors for migrating to America. Its obvious you didnt about these facts before you post.

I have a lot of Love and Pride for my people.
We fought and built this country and we did not flee, I feel honored to live on the soil my ancestors built and I have enough pride not to flee when things get tough

New York City's #Harlem neighbourhood became the center of Black American culture in the 1920s, and another "Harlem Renaissance" has been taking place in more recent years, this one driven by #immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa. The new book "#Africans in Harlem: An Untold New York Story" shines light on the African cultural influence shaping the neighbourhood. Author Boukary Sawadogo, associate professor of cinema studies at the City University of New York, explains that three quarters of African arrivals to the US came after the year 2000, many of them economic migrants from French-speaking countries like Senegal, Mali and Burkina Faso. Sawadogo joined us to chat about the African affinity for Harlem, the relationship between Africans and African-Americans, and the power of seeing Black heroes on screen in films like "Wakanda Forever".

Yea 116th street. There’s also a Somalian restaurant that is there. First to ever open in NY. I was there before Covid. Wonder if it’s still there.I need to plan a trip to Harlem. I really want to try some Senegalese cuisine.
you really find it odd that people can inspire each other or did you really believe the narratives of inherent hatred?I’m glad he admitted that Africans were trying to fit in after the work we put in.
He insinuated that Africans were attracted to Harlem after all the work AA put in like Malcom, our art, style, etc..

That’s false. You didn't build shyt. Harlem used to be Italian and Jewish till your ancestors fled from the south to NewYork.

.nikka save that shyt for dude in the video.you really find it odd that people can inspire each other or did you really believe the narratives of inherent hatred?
i don't see anything profound or revelatory. he is not "admitting" anything just having a regular conversation and paying homage... like none of this should be incomprehensible
you don't have to always be in defence mode. "after all the work" ...the work wasn't denied it was appreciated, not claimed. let's just watch the videos like a normal person would without all the guards up. let's have a normal thread about the diaspora.
people come into these threads like they in a fight game stance ready finger hovering over the controller. shyt is not that serious![]()
