If I'm an African breh and wanted to flex....fukk buying a chain, buy the whole damn diamond mine.

Of course we already know that the value is heavily inflated because there's an oversupply of diamonds...and the companies restrict what's available to the public to keep the price up.

A musician is going to be loaned $100M to buy a mine, obtain licenses, purchase the reclamation bond, the collateralized equipment, hire engineers etc.

How will Burna Boy get time to make music then?

That African bought diamonds his fellow Africans probably lost life or limb to dig up out the ground. Considering Africa's complicated history with diamond mining you would think dude would show better sense but it's like when nikkas come into money they don't give a fukk.

It's really weird how happy these guys are to be getting fleeced by these jewelers. What is so special about a chain? These musicians pull up with a kool-aid smile and act like they won a superbowl by getting these huge, gaudy, iced out pieces, and all the meanwhile, they just put generations of the jeweler's family through college.

Every other race comes around and dumps their junk on us and they get the financial freedom while he get the blinged out slave chains.

Bingo...:francis:

I wonder if rappers and jewelers “inflate” how much some of these chains were really bought/sold for just to generate publicity…I know dude can easily afford it but it seems like a such a ridiculous god awful waste of money just for a chain…an ugly piece at that…granted that’s subjective on my part but damn

Is every diamond from Africa a blood diamond?

For instance, Botswana is one of the biggest diamond producers in Africa…
I don’t know if every single individual piece of diamond was literally a blood diamond, no.

But just collectively seeing Africans with diamonds is one of the wildest things you’ll ever see.

Why? Some African companies and government’s legitimately own diamond mines/issue licenses to ethical miners.

Let me educate you my brother:

While I appreciate any form of education, any joint venture that has anything to do with De Beers is automatically invalid. Their practices are inhuman and Botswanan people got driven out their lands for those mines to placed there.

That specific mine in Debswana may not feature blood diamonds but again, anything connected with De Beers opens up the possibility that there was either blood Diamond or just inhumane treatment.

Tell that to the government of Botswana and the higher standard of the BaTswana enjoy compared to other Africans
